Sam's 7th Birthday

For Sam's 7th birthday, we took him to Toys R us and had him pick some toys. Then we had some cake at home and went to Chuck E Cheese. 

 

Serendipity/Ryan Lennberg/Summer Days 8/17/11

Ryan Lennberg (one of Bryce's high school friends) came to NYC on a business trip and he came to visit us while he was here. We went to Serendipity and got their Frozen Hot Chocolate. Yummy! Did you know that they filmed part of "I am legend" in Serendipity?

We had to take him to Times square of course!

There was an event where Park avenue was closed so bikers could ride their bikes from 60th, all the way to the Brooklyn bridge. Sam and Bryce took advantage of this unique opportunity, and it was a blast! It is such a cool feeling to cruise down Manhattan with a bunch of other bikers enjoying a beautiful day, and lots of sights and sounds. NYC is such a fun place! (although I'm sure anyone trying to drive a car in the city today hated it...

Yankees Game

We went to a Yankees game. The Yankees didn't do well but we still had a lot of fun!

Tennis

Sam has been taking tennis lessons on Roosevelt Island.  He really enjoys his classes.

            Some kids from the class went on a parade to celebrate the Bronx Open (Crotona Park)

There were lots of games and activities for the kids and we even got to watch some professional tennis players play.

Victoria Gardens

We took the kids to Victoria Gardens, a little amusement park at Central Park. It was perfect for our kids' ages. It was Circus Day, so we got to watch some magician, ventriloquists and acrobat shows. It was a really fun day!

Another park that we really like is Bryant Park. This Summer they had "Broadway in Bryant", where every week,  Broadway actors came to perform Broadway show songs.

Baillios come to visit

Celeste and her family came to visit us. Our first guests in NY! We played at Central Park, had pizza at Grimaldis, went to the Times Square Toys'R us and then visited Sony Wonder Lab.
